I think my 01 Eagle needs the clutch adjusted. It seems to be slipping. I searched the forum and cannot find any specific info just links to general info. I do not have a 01 manual but I have an 05. Thanks

Winburg,do you know if you have the original pull type or has it been changed to a mushroom type. The original are adjusted from the bottom through the cover plate check to see if there are slots and a bolt keeper on the clutch plate that will be the pull type, the mushroom type are adjusted with the linkage like a car.FWIW most have been changed over to the mushroom type big difference in the price of the 2 styles

good luck

Hope someone can help with this, I have a 05 with the spicer 4 speed. We are in Park City Ut for a couple months and we can't find any one that can do a clutch adjustment on this and it releases almost at the top of peddle. So if someone could give a step by step explination it would be great. I have the service manuel but it isn't much help.

Thanks
Rick

Well I got the information from Ed at Jefferson Bus and Truck in OKC on adjusting my brakes, The problem I have is that my air assist was out of adjustment, I adjusted it as far as it would go to try and get it to where the pin would just slide back in it liked about 2 turns it went in realy snug when its suppose to slide back and fourth real easy.
I think the linkage may be out of adjustment because now the clutch releases at about half peddle not at the top and when released will kill the engine in first gear and fills like it will twist the drive shaft into, it has plenty of clutch face/pad.
On my 1970 M-5 the clutch adjust at the leaver per book, and it does have a clutch brake. The book says nothing about adjusting the linkage between clutch and air assist. Does anyone know about the linkage adjustments I would like to recover at least half of my adjustment at the air assist. Thanks for help and hope this makes sense.
