3:36 gears for an 05

Post by rusty »

Does anybody know where to get a set of 3:36 gears for an 05 rear end. I have the case and just need the gears. I called Norris and they don't have any. Does that mean there are none to be had or is there another source?

Thank You Wayne

I got my 3.73 from Jefferson. Had Drive Train in Denver install them and also go through the drop box. Drive train could have gotten the gears at the time from Meterior (sp?), but I chose to give the business to Jefferson since the price was about the same and they support the Eagle community.

Wayne, did you confirm that the 3.36 gears will fit in the 3.73 housing/pumpkin.

Also, Clifford, someone mentioned that you were working on a 3.08 set. Was that the ring and pinion or did you line someone up to make the drop box a slight overdrive?

Wayne,
I think Jim questioned checking the 3:36 will fit the 05/3:73 housing. When I had the M11 installed, I went from 3:73 to 3:36 in the original housing.
By the way, I have a set of the 3:73 gears that is less than a year old running time. It is the set I had installed in 2006 when I went through 3 differentials in one year. This is the last (new) set installed just before repower.
Just to let you (and others) know.
