Model 10 Window and air bag suspension discussion

Post by jcb »

Editorial Comment:  Later on in this thread is a good discussion of adding an air bag suspension to an Eagle

Hello everyone!
Fairly shortly, I will be needing a new passenger side front window, along with the seal/gasket.
Any thoughts or info on locating one would be appreciated. Obviously looking for a fair price. I know there are a few floating around in private hands, and many in a severely marked up situation.
Thanks in advance!

Is it still the original angled front window?

If you mean angled around the front towards the door, then yes. Standard 1984 Model 10
Window.

Jim,

I have one still installed in a 1982 Model 10 that I will be parting out. I will no longer need backup windows now that I have a Model 15. I also have two angled and two straight Peninsula sliders with screens in a Model 05 (same size).

Walter......
Probably don’t need shipping. I’m only about 3-4 hours away from you.

Jim,

One thing to check is what tint color you have on your coach. I have noticed that some side windows on the 82' have either a dark amber color or a dark gray tint. I believe the passenger side slant is a gray tint. There is some weathering of the outside metal trim, but the glass is intact. This is my busy season with my business, but we will work something out. The first thing is to see if all the mounting screws will come out okay. I should take some pictures of it to make sure it will work for you.

Thank you for the info Walter. All of my side windows are in good shape, so I won’t be needing those, but we can look at the door window. Just need the passenger side front big window. But, saying that.....depending on what you want for it I may buy both fronts and have one for a spare. I would be happy to spend a night or two to help get it out of the bus if you want. Wouldn’t hurt for me to have a better idea of what to do anyway. Wife might even want to come along too. I’m sure she’d like to shop in Dayton.
Let me know.....:I’ll have to make plans ahead.
Thanks again!

You don't say where you are located.

I take your post to mean the windshield. If so, there is no right or left. They are the same. I have two of them in Sioux Falls, SD. Shipping of them can be a problem if they are not crated right. I will not ship them.

If you are talking about the window behind the entry door, I can't help.

Thank you Joe, but I’m in Michigan. Love to visit your state, but no plans this year. I think I may have found some with Walter.
Thank you very much though,
