Fan Belts

Post by buscrazyinFL »

Just wondering how hard it is to change the fan belts. Not sure when mine were done last and I would like to put new ones in. There doesn't seem to be alot of room to work with. Has anyone tackled this? What is the best way to do it?

I would also like to change the alternator belts, but those seem simpler to do.

Manny, it is about a 1hr job the hardest part is get the ider pulley bolt loose that makes the belt adjustment, remove the mitre box drive shaft to remove and replace the new one.Fwiw buy good automotive belts the ones from the hardware stores don't last been there done that.Doyle just replaced his 3 alt belts and those were 15.00 bucks each for good belts

good luck
