Wow, we almost missed your comment about the serial # on the speedometer you pulled. Thanks Clifford. We were so disappointed that no one was responding to the last few posts on the Trailways Red, but I guess after over 700 hits and nearly a hundred posts people are just sick of the subject...

But this is the closest we've gotten to finding out the real vin. I think in light of what we've discovered this week, and your confirmation, we may call it a find! I'm still waiting to hear from one more source in KY, but I actually think we may have finally solved the mystery.....

Thanks again for all your help! You too, KY Steve, and Eagle

Nah! We're not tired of it, Manny. Just most of us don't have any more ideas and are just hoping for a breakthrough. Maybe this is it!

So now Clifford, we have a new task for you...

What can you find (in those boxes of records you have) on the Queen City Coach Bus # 35561? That's the fleet # that was given to Vin # 8851.

This weekend I was working on the Eagle and decided to check the oil. It was low so I put a gallon in and that brought the psi to 45. Both gauges were then reading the same. I have a ? On another board this subject has come up - some say not to fill the oil to the top (to the full mark) and some say do. I have noticed when I do fill it up to the mark it seems to use up the oil real quick. It also fills up the slobber container just as fast, so I try to keep it just above the add mark. What is the right thing to do?

Manny, I'll tell you what I do on our 8v71. It seems to like it when it's about 1 gallon low, don't know why but it eats it up and spits it out like yours if it's full. It stays at that spot on the dipstick for quite a while too.
