Roadside assistance needed

Post by ericbsc »

One of our members, John Mellis has had a breakdown on his way to the Nasheville rally. He is outside of Atlanta on I-75 with lots of white smoke in the exhaust. If anyone knows of a shop or individual in the area that could help please call John at: 803-378-1422. Thanks!!

What a bummer!!!

Sounds like a cracked head.

I sure wish there was something I could do, but don't know of anyone in that area.

Please keep us posted on his situation.

Edit: I looked and he is about 100-150 miles from Choo Choo.

Just got a message from John. He says that the engine has a bad valve and a split injector. He is having the bus towed to Williams Detroit there around Atlanta. He and his wife are headed home at the time of this post. I hate this for him.

John, when you read this just keep in mind that I am somewhat halfway between you and Atlanta and I will do what I can to help you out durng this ordeal. Just let me know!

John,
Sorry to hear about the chaos. I had the same thing happen to me. I split an injector, kept driving it and burned a valve. I feel your pain. :( . Please don't give up on coming to Nashville. Kelley & I are in a motel by LAX and are flying out tomorrow so we can come party with our east coast Eagle buddies!! We are looking forward to meeting all of you and getting to know everyone in person. So we hope you make it bus or no bus (like us..haha) and we can swap wild ass claims over a cold one.

Good luck,

Randy & Kelley Coons

Sorry didn't mean to dissapoint Randy but I just have had enough. I worked on getting the bus ready long long late hours just for Palmetto Cove & the Nashville Rally. Tara & I were just ready to be back home. Besides I have to go to work now to pay for all this! I know this is just how it goes so I'm hoping to get it right this time. Thanks to all who offered assistance, support, & even places to stay while at the Rally. Just didn't feel right without the bus...

John,
Just read the post....WOW what a bummer after the hours you put in the shop and on the bus and not to mention the months the bus sat in Augusta waiting to get "fixed". Maybe Palmetto Cove is not the place to start the season as both of us have had problems with our rigs either there or just days later. Mine is parked in the back yard with all the doors on the back open drying out from cleaning all the oil off. I guess I will start on that repair in a few days.
If there is anything I can do, just let me know, I'm just a skip away.
