Paul, your on the way but I don't think a quick release valve is that important but they are nice to have.Keep in mind all you are doing is changing the way the air is applied the dd3 needs air to lock and spring brake need it to release.check Midland or Wabco on the valves most of the time they are about 1/2 the price of Bendix good luck

Clifford,
I realize that the quick exhaust is not needed but I threw it in there anyway just incase I want to add that at a later date.
I really just studied the Bendix site because of the drawings and explanation.
I'm calling Anything Truck tomorrow 866-584-1084, I like their prices.

Re: Wanting Information on Changing DD-3's to Springbrakes
Does anyone have the part number for the sending unit for VDO electrical air psi gauges that are used in Eagles?
I have two gauges with the little birdy that I want to use.
Is it a standard VDO sending unit or something special?
Would either of these work?
http://www.egauges.com/vdo_send.asp?Sender=150PSI_US
Thanks

Re: Wanting Information on Changing DD-3's to Springbrakes
Paul, i forgot about Gilmore in Houston they are a big VDO dealer.Dee a friend of mine used their 4 inch gauges to make a dash for his Eagle looks sharp A 4 inch cluster with oil, water ,fuel and volts with the 4 inch speedometer and 4 inch tack with a 2 in air guages check them out at www.gilmoredist.com for VDO parts, thought I would give you the info being you are building a dash. but if I were you I would use a manual guage for the air you can pickup supply from the parking valve, best to go with what you have dosen't cost money that way good luck

Re: Wanting Information on Changing DD-3's to Springbrakes
I pulled the DD-3's off today and found 3/8" thick spacers between the cans and the mounting bracket. I assume I use them betweeen the spring brake chambers and the bracket the same way. Is this a correct assumption?
My manuals do not mention anything like this.
