Thanls to everyone about the 1970 05 windshields found them here close to home along with other parts.
Now another question I have the 1970 05 with a standard 4 speed push button reverse. I have the original maintenance manual but I think an engineere wrote it and of course I'm not as smart as he is .
Could someone explain the clutch adjustments for me. The manual is serving me well in other areas.

Re: Clutch Adjustments 4 speed pushbutton reverse
Adjusting HD clutches is quite a bit more complex than car clutches. This is especially true if you bus has a clutch brake. That is probably why you are struggling with the process.
The following site talks about truck clutches in general and has a bit of information about truck clutch adjusting:
http://www.heavydutytrucking.com/2004/12/040a0412.asp
Eaton Fuller has some good information on clutch adjustment for their specific line of clutches. Go to: http://www.roadranger.com/Roadranger/pr ... /index.htm
and it has a list of the various manuals you can look at.
Every HD clutch has it's own procedure. If you can scan the pages in you manual and send them to me, I will try to help walk you through the process. If you would rather, you can copy them and snail mail them to me.
Let me know how you want to proceede, and I can give you my snail mail address if you need it.

Re: Clutch Adjustments 4 speed pushbutton reverse
Rljgaj, you are going to find out the manual will not be much help to as you most of the pull type double disk clutches have been changed out to the push type mushroom style the reason being you can buy a rebuilt mushroom type for 300 to 500 dollars and the double disk is going to cost from 900 to 1500 dollars and hard to find.If you have the original type clutch in your bus it is going to be a 100 to 1 odds
good luck
