A days journey.

Post by Liberty »

Well we drove Liberty from Desert Trails RV Resort to Yuma and the Gypsy Journal Rally.
We came in early with the early bird group. Will register tomorrow.
Just met Dick Reed this afternoon and he has a Model 07 about the same color as Nelson Majors. Dick founded the RV Driving School then sold it about 4 years ago.
When the rally is over we are back to Desert Trails in Tucson till mid April.

Glad to see you don't stay in one place too long! Enjoy the journey, it's quite a ride! We are so looking forward to ours starting in August, can't wait. Just hope the diesel prices don't go through the roof!

Hey LeRoy-

Cindy and I will be at our Yuma place on Wednesday (3/9) and hanging out there for about a week. . .not a bus trip, just running out there in the truck (these $4.25/gallon diesel prices are killing us).

If you're still out that direction, maybe we'll stop by and see you!

Art & Cindy,
Give us a call 316-708-1973 and maybe we can see you on Friday before we run away. this rally is heavy with schedule way into the evening.

For all the others we are staying SW till mid April the off toward Ft. Campbell and Atlanta. Plan on about the month of June in Wichita area then CO then up to Cody.
The mangers of the Absarka Bay Resort (Cody)are wintering in the same place we are in Tucson.

Well it has been a great day.
The Gypsy Journal Gathering Rally was over and we were packed and ready to roll about 9:30 or so. We then drove over to see Art and Cindy in their 'winter house'. Had a great visit and met a former neighbor of theirs. Then back near I-8 we pulled into a Mex. food place. We were seated upon entering. Once seated we heard a voice saying we saw you pulling in. I mean it is hard to hide an Eagle in an auto parking lot. So we had a nice visit with Dick and Di. Then we motored back to Tucson and were settled in with Sat. TV for the first time all week. We had left the tripod here to mark our spot. Then off to Tiny's for supper. Tiny's is like an old west bar that serves great food. The sign outside says family resturant. It is the West.
