"The bus" by any other name...

Post by SunChaserCindy »

Ok all, just wondering.... what do you call your bus?

I think I am a creature of habit. I called it "the bus" when we got it, and I still call it "the bus" today.

Although I'm not sure when it happened, I no longer call our twins (the youngest) "the babies." I just woke up one day and realized I haven't called them that for a while. It's probably a good thing now that they are 18, but you see what I mean?

So, do you call your bus by its given name, the coach, the bus, him, her, ??

Just wondering! :)

I called dibs on naming ours when we bought it and I still plan on naming it, but I want to take it on a trip first. It's hard to name something that's just sitting in the yard. For now it's just "the bus".

We're planning on getting a sailboat to live on sometime in the future and Jason is going to name that so I think it's fair that I get to name the bus. If he disagrees then I'm sure I could arrange to have the bus painted hot pink with sequins one day while he's at work. :D

LOL! You're too funny Stephanie! .... but that sounds fair to me!

I think we had been working on our bus at least two years before the name hit me! That's probably why I got in the "the bus" habit to begin with.

John, you changed your answer!!! LOL I caught that!

Changed it from what?

Considering I feel like I need to keep a firm grip on my wallet every time I walk by it or into it, maybe Moneypit or Moneygrubber would be appropiate? It's probably our own fault though, everytime we look at it we think of something else to fix or change.

While I was building the bus it was called your damn bus by the boss. Somewhere toward the end it became our bus . Funny how things change.

At one time we had considered "Wind Dancer" and then "Big Bird" and then "Loose Change."

In the final tally, the final road worthy moniker we came to (and agreed upon) was "Daddy's Hobby."

No I didn't say that ... Must have been some other guy.
